BACKGROUND THEME & OBJECTIVES

Greetings and best wishes from School of Energy Materials, Mahatma Gandhi University, Priyadarshini Hills P.O, Kottayam, Kerala, India & Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, China. We are extremely glad to write to you that we are organizing the International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Assisted Processes (ICMMAP 2020) on May 31st, June 1st And 2nd 2020 at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. This conference will be one of the big International meetings exclusively dedicated to share the latest developments in membrane science and technology. The conference will be extremely useful in the sense that it will be attended by hundreds of researchers to share the fundamental areas of application with particular focus on emerging trends and industrial use of membranes. The goal of the conference emphasizes interdisciplinary research to share the latest developments in membrane science and technology. This symposium will bring together will bring together leading researchers to share the latest developments in membrane science and technology. We will focus on the fundamental areas of application with particular emphasis on emerging trends and industrial use of membranes.. Talks will encompass basic studies and applications and will address topics of novel issues. During the three-day conference, we will listen to recognized authorities in the field as they discuss recent advances, difficulties, and breakthroughs in the field of developments in membrane science and technology. The conference will feature keynote addresses, a number of plenary sessions, invited talks and contributed lectures focusing on specific tenets of fundamental areas of application with particular focus on emerging trends and industrial use of membranes. Three awards each will be given to the best oral presentations among the short invited talks and posters. International Jury will evaluate the posters and the short invited talks. In view of your excellent contributions to the field of membranes, we would like to welcome you to give an invited talk at the conference. The scientific committee of the conference is aware of your published works in this field. We would appreciate if you could e-mail us a one-page abstract of the talk (in the MS Word format) at the earliest to the conference E-mail id: membrane@macromol.in. An appropriate title could be decided by you.

PUBLICATION OF CONFERENCE PAPER

All membranes related papers will be published by macromolecular symposia (Wiley Publishers after international peer review process. (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/15213900/homepage/2265_authors.html). We are glad to inform you that nano related papers will be published in NANOSO (Nano-Structures & Nano-Objects) and Nanoscale Reports after peer review process. Apple Academic Press, USA (www.AppleAcademicPress.com) and River Publishers (http://www.riverpublishers.com/) have agreed to edit a book based on our conference. All the papers for the journal and for the book will be peer reviewed by international experts before publication. The proposed book by Apple Academy and River Publishers will be indexed by Scopus database.

BRAIN STORMING DISCUSSION MEETING ON JOINT PROJECTS AND COLLABORATIONS

During the conference there will be a brain storming discussion meeting in order to submit a joint project proposals to European Union under the “HORIZON 2020” programme for funding between India, Europe and Rest of the world. We will also discus other bilateral research progrmmes between DST, UGC, INSA and DBT of India and Rest of the world. Please note that DST of India has signed bilateral agreement with almost all the countries in the globe. These include DST-NSF, DST-DAAD, DST-DFG, DST-KBN, Indo-French (CEFIPRA), DST-NSF, DST- Australia, etc etc. This conference will act as a good platform to find partners for international research collaborations. We are open to all sorts of collaborations. Please see the publications and citation of Prof.Thomas's Group (who welcomes all sorts of collaborations) in Mahatma Gandhi University from Google Scholar: http://scholar.google.co.in/citations?user=74VyKRYAAAAJ& hl=en

BUSINESS TO BUSINESS(B2B)INDUSTRIES INTERACTION

We will bring many companies from India and abroad to have strong Business to Business (B2B) Industries Interaction. This will open up new collaborations, joint ventures, technology transfer between multinational, medium scale and small scale industrial units across the globe.

EXHIBITION

There will be major exhibition by different companies in the field of the subject. We will also invite ancillary units and companies supplying major characterization instruments.

PANEL DISCUSSION

On the last day of the conference a panel discussion will be held to sum up the deliberations of the conference.

SIGHT SEEING PROGRAMMES

There are a large number of tourist spots in Kerala. The most important ones are Munnar Mountains (the best tourist spot in Asia based on UNESCO), Thekkady Wild life Sanctuary, Cochin, and Varkkala/Kovalam beaches.
